๐Ÿ’ก Inspiration Quantum computing is the future, but itโ€™s hard for beginners to grasp abstract concepts like superposition, entanglement, and quantum gates. We wanted to build something that makes quantum logic visual, interactive, and beginner-friendly โ€” something we wish we had when we first heard of quantum computing. Thatโ€™s how QLogic was born.

๐Ÿš€ What it does QLogic is a web-based interactive simulator that allows users to: Drag and drop quantum gates (like X, H, CNOT, etc.) onto qubits Build custom quantum circuits Visualize qubit state changes on Bloch spheres or state vectors Step through simulations and understand how each gate manipulates the state Learn quantum concepts in an intuitive, visual way โ€” no prior experience required.

๐Ÿ”ง How we built it Frontend: Built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a drag-and-drop interface to create quantum circuits.

Backend: Implemented in Python using Qiskit to simulate the behavior of quantum gates and circuits.

Visualization: Used Matplotlib (in backend) or Chart.js (frontend) to display Bloch spheres and probability distributions.

Integration: Connected frontend and backend using a lightweight Flask API to send circuit data and retrieve simulation results.

๐Ÿงฉ Challenges we ran into

Making quantum mechanics visual and intuitive โ€” balancing accuracy and simplicity Designing a responsive drag-and-drop interface for building circuits Integrating quantum backend logic with frontend UI in real time Accurately rendering Bloch sphere transformations and state vectors

๐Ÿ† Accomplishments that we're proud of Built a fully functional quantum simulator that's accessible to beginners Successfully integrated classical web UI with quantum backend simulation Created an educational tool that can be used by students and educators Made abstract quantum concepts more visual, hands-on, and fun

๐Ÿ“š What we learned Hands-on experience with Qiskit and quantum circuits How to simulate quantum gates and track qubit state changes Importance of user-friendly design in education tech How to build an end-to-end app combining classical and quantum technologies

๐Ÿ”ฎ Whatโ€™s next for QLogic โ€“ A Visual Quantum Logic Gate Simulator โœ… Add more gates like Swap, Toffoli, Phase Shift โœ… Export the quantum circuit in QASM format โœ… Add multi-qubit entanglement and better visualization of entangled states โœ… Add in-app tutorials and challenges for learning โœ… Mobile and tablet-friendly UI for classrooms โœ… Host it online for public access (GitHub Pages / Replit / Streamlit)
