Inspiration

The rapid growth of e-commerce has led to increased air-cargo shipments, presenting significant challenges in terms of safety, efficiency, and cost. Inspired by the need to address these challenges, we developed Qlik & Co-Load, a platform designed to streamline air cargo operations and enhance collaboration among stakeholders. While eliminating e-commerce safety concern; we are presenting a game changer technology to reduce overall cost of industry with smart solution of bidding and co-loading platform.

What it does

Qlick & Co-Load is a revolutionary platform that connects all stakeholders in the air cargo ecosystem, including shippers, agents, airlines, and ground handling agents (GHAs). It enables co-loading and bidding on available cargo space, optimizing capacity and increasing load factors for airlines while decreasing overall cost of transportation. The platform also ensures e-commerce or any cargo's compliance with IATA, ICS2 and Customs regulations, enhances safety checks, and provides seamless communication and data exchange.

How we built it

We built Qlick & Co-Load using a robust technology stack that includes Python for core development, GEN-AI for intelligent decision-making, and RAG technology for retrieving regulatory information. The platform integrates with IATA’s One Record standard for data integrity and compliance. We also utilized web scraping to extract shipment details, and tools for data wrangling and visualization. The front-end design focuses on providing a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was integrating multiple data streams from various stakeholders while ensuring data integrity and compliance with IATA and Customs regulations. Managing the technical complexity of AI-powered safety checks and handling codes also posed significant challenges. Additionally, creating a user-friendly interface that meets the needs of all stakeholders required careful planning and execution.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of developing a platform that not only addresses key pain points in the air cargo industry but also enhances efficiency and safety. Successfully integrating with IATA’s One Record standard and achieving seamless communication between systems are significant accomplishments. Our platform’s ability to optimize capacity and reduce costs for shippers and freight forwarders is another major achievement. And finally we are mitigating the risk posed by e-commerce shipment with increasing visibility and control

What we learned

Throughout the development of Qlick & Co-Load, we learned the importance of collaboration and communication among stakeholders in the air cargo industry. We gained valuable insights into the complexities of regulatory compliance and the technical challenges of integrating multiple data streams. Our experience reinforced the need for innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and safety in air cargo operations.

What's next for Qlick & Co-load

Moving forward, we plan to expand the platform’s capabilities by incorporating more advanced AI/UI features and enhancing data analytics. We aim to further improve user experience and increase the platform’s scalability to accommodate a growing number of users. Additionally, we will explore partnerships with more airlines and logistics providers to broaden the platform’s reach and impact in the air cargo industry.
