Inspiration

There are many messaging apps for communication like WhatsApp, hike, telegram and these are awesome but most of these are for the personal communication. So we had made a tool which is for the communities. It keeps you updated about what you truly love

What it does

In this app, you can create a board (group) and then anyone with the same interest can join it. for example, one can make a board of android development and anyone who likes android development can join it. you can also create local communities of your school, college or office and stay updated with all the latest information. Our app has following features.

  1. Create a board (group) for free.
  2. You can add as many members as you want ( NO LIMIT ).
  3. Share photo, audio, video or any type of file.
  4. No phone number required to add people, just share the link.
  5. Passwordless login using facebook or phone number.
  6. Create pdf (with QR code) of your board and people can join it by scanning that QR code (for local communities).
  7. Search for the public boards and join them.
  8. Make your board private ( People can only join it by QR code or link).
  9. Control who can post on your board.
  10. Share post on other apps likes WhatsApp, facebook, twitter etc.
  11. Get real-time notifications of boards.
  12. Use app even when you are offline.

How I built it

I had built it using the android studio and firebase. I also use some library for QR code, pdf, and some other features.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

This app has a lot of features and I developed it alone and in this short amount of time so it's a really very big thing for me and I am really proud of it. I face so many difficulties while making this app but after all the hard work and dedication I am able to make it.

What I learned

I had learned so many new things. this project improves my designing skills and coding skills too.

What's next for qixchat

I will upload it on play store after some time and also add some feature for comment, editor, and search suggestion.
