What Inspired Me
I was inspired by the long waiting times and complete chaos I kept hearing about in government hospitals. My teacher explained how overcrowded the hospitals are, how patients don’t know where to go, how people sit on the floor for hours, and how even seriously sick patients have to wait the same as everyone else. Listening to that made me realize the real problem is not just lack of doctors — it is lack of order. I wanted to create a simple system that brings structure, reduces waiting, and guides patients properly from the moment they enter. That is how the idea of QGuide was born.
What QGuide Does
QGuide brings order to crowded government hospitals.
- Guides patients to the fastest token counter
- Issues a smart token with QR code
- Shows patients exactly where to go next
- Helps doctors prioritize seriously sick patients
- Allows mild cases to get a digital prescription faster
- Reduces chaos, waiting time, and staff burden
It works like traffic control inside the hospital.
How we built it
Identified the core problem Long waiting times, chaos at counters, and lack of patient direction in government hospitals. Designed the patient flow Mapped the complete journey from hospital entrance → token counter → doctor → pharmacy/lab. Created the smart token + QR system Built a system that issues tokens and guides patients step-by-step using QR codes. Added doctor priority & mild-case features Allowed doctors to mark serious patients as priority and handle mild cases with digital prescriptions. Built a simple web prototype Developed an easy-to-use prototype that works on phones and computers for testing and demonstration.
Controlling and giving order , taking in consideration of a crowded hospital , reduce the waiting time , and help it not too expensive , and legal worries .
A good learning experince , learned the conditions of hospital in my country , find something that could probably benefit many people , espically the poor
What's next for QGuide
Pilot launch in one government hospital OPD Collect real feedback from patients, doctors, and hospital staff Improve the system based on actual usage and problems faced Expand to more departments and other government hospitals
