QEvent

Inspiration

The mass confusion on the first day of QHacks Inspired us to make such an app which would be convenient for both attendees and event organizers to use.

What it does

Gives a digital interface for different Events. Allows users to subscribe to events and see details on different aspects of an event.

How I built it

The android application was built with android studio. An API was developed using Standard Library to communicate between Firebase and the app to achieve maximum modularity for future changes.

Challenges I ran into

Developing an app and it's database in parallel while also working on an API to act as a middle man proved to very difficult towards the end. It was difficult keeping the endpoint parameters consistent between the different components of the project.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

The team is very proud of delivering a tangible project regardless of the quality. The whole team believes this event has been a great learning experience for all of us.

What I learned

We all learned the importance of drafting requirements in the planning phase of a project. Other than that, we all gained technical knowledge while developing the project.
