QDS Hackathon 2024- Team 8

Inspiration

The student resources seemed a bit scattered across different platforms depending on its context, whether academic or casual. We wanted to host a community where people with the same experience and goals can openly share their thoughts and connect in a fun way.

What it does

It is an anonymous platform for verified students to ask questions, share their thoughts, and really anything in general, while also providing direct access to academic resources for our success.

How we built it

After careful planning and designing, every one of us gave everything we have learned so far (and much more through active research), having been in school for only 2 months haha.

Challenges we ran into

Git merge and conflict resolution!!! Also, we didn't have much javascript or database exposure yet, so finding javascript solutions was quite interesting.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having a finished, working product where the main functionality is fulfilled, and in the design we envisioned.

What we learned

Creating something that was fun to us, made working under pressure enjoyable. As we were laughing and joking throughout the process, we could maintain positive energy, grew as individual designers and programmers, and ended up a tighter team.
