Inspiration

We were inspired by a simple but dangerous problem: the "Information Gap" in public health. Many people want to stay protected, but paper records get lost, and immunization schedules are confusing. We realized that if we could turn complex health guidelines into a simple, visual "roadmap," we could increase community safety. Qdoc’s Vaccine Manager was born from the idea that managing your health should be as easy as checking a calendar

What it does

Qdoc’s Vaccine Manager is an intelligent assistant that automates the immunization process. • Patient Profiling: Users input their age and medical conditions (e.g., pregnancy or chronic illness). • Vaccine Rule Engine: The system applies logic to determine if a patient is "Eligible," "Due Soon," or "Overdue." • Visual Timeline: A color-coded interface displays a user's entire vaccination history. • Smart Reminders: Automatically alerts users when they are within a specific window of their next dose.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

The hardest part was Logic Mapping. Translating medical jargon into "If/Then" statements that a computer understands was a steep learning curve. We also struggled with data relationships—ensuring that when a patient’s profile updated, their timeline updated instantly. We had to restart our database structure twice before we got it right!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We went from zero to one. We are proud of building a functional "Rule Engine" that actually works. Seeing a "Red" tag automatically turn "Green" when a test dose was entered was our biggest "Eureka" moment. We also achieved a UI design that we feel is genuinely Aesthetically Pleasing.

What we learned

What's next for Qdoc

• OCR Integration: Allowing users to scan physical vaccine cards to auto-fill their history. • Clinic API: Connecting with local pharmacy APIs to allow users to book appointments directly from their overdue alert. • Multi-User Profiles: Allowing parents to manage their entire family’s immunization schedules from a single dashboard.
