Inspiration

This pandemic has got us all really bored. How about laughing to some jokes, riddles, memes or even getting insulted ?

What it does

The bot takes a query from the user and returns a response based on the request made. Try it out on Telegram, you can look for : @Laugh_Out_Loud_Bot

How I built it

Python has a python-telegram wrapper, which I made use of. I have hosted the bot on Heroku so it can be accessed by all at any time of the day.

Challenges I ran into

This was my first time, using Heroku as a service, I found it a little challenging to host my bot on Heroku.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am able to interact with my bot and am happy that it is functional.

What I learned

I have incorporated many features and explored different domains. I have learned about REST APIs, web scraping, and many functionalities provided by Python.

What's next for Python-Telegram Bot

Currently, it is a rule-based bot. I hope to incorporate NLP into it and give it a human touch.
