Inspiration #We were inspired by retro games, and classic games people enjoy. Personally I was inspired by my love of animals and the ecosystem. Overall, we were inspired by games people like!

What it does- It is like a simplified version of Google Snake, or Snake (whatever you call it). The snake goes up, down, left, and right to consume it's prey. If the snake hits the edge of it's territory, it dies, if the snake coils around himself, he loses; and you lose the game. It has a counter of your current and high scores. It also has the first original Temple Run music, running as background music.

How we built it- We first worked together in repl.it to program it, we watched a video to help us, but the code used in the video was outdated. So we had to restart after we found out it was outdated. After the restart, we switched to Visual Studio Code. We ran into a lot of problems there because it seemed so intimidating. Seeing all the extensions and error messages etc. After a good few hours of understanding the code more and asking for help from the mentors. We managed to create "Python in Python". To play you need Python Turtle, you need to install playsound

Challenges we ran into how to write the code properly, indentation errors, spelling errors, not installing the right programs. Lots of crashes and using wrong softwares. Lots of different things, but we managed to persevere!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building our own first game. We are proud that in our first hackathon we were able to build a fully functional game. It was very exciting.

What we learned

We learned how to use many different Python coding commands- such as pen.write, imports, music and playsounds. We also learned how to program graphics in Python.
