Inspiration
Our goal with PySician was to simplify the way that doctors and patients interact through booking appointments. In many countries today, we still primarily rely on phone calls, but ultimately those aren't always convenient or effective, especially for those with different accessibility needs.
What it does
PySician is an app that aggregates appointments for doctors and patients, simplifying the process of booking appointments, receiving medical information, and ensuring that a patient can always access their secure data.
How we built PySician
We used Django (with the Django REST framework) for the backend and React (with Material UI) to design frontend. We were really big on the idea of making it touchscreen compatible and pleasant to use.
What we learned
We learned a great deal about using React, Material UI, and REST APIs.
What's next for PySician
We'll probably use the experience we got from this project to work on further fullstack projects, but for the time being, we don't expect to release PySician.
