Pyjac Rebooted Hackathon submission (Console Check)

Inspiration

My inspiration was to learn and understand how people can check the prices and availability of different items on different websites through code

What it does

This project checks the availability for a PS5 on 5 different websties

How I built it

I used a python script to check the availability of the PS5 at 5 different websites and used UI Path studio and UI Path apps to get and display the data from the script

Challenges I ran into

I ran into challenges of collecting data and using ui path on vm machine, as it was very slow and choppy to use and made the process of creating the project longer than expected

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of the fact that I was able to learn how to parse and read the HTML code and data to find and track the information I need to make the project work properly

What I learned

I learned that many major websites like Amazon, StockX, Bestbuy actually don't allow for this to happen, and block a person from trying to use their script to extract price or availability data off their site

What's next for Pyjac Rebooted Hackathon submission (Console Check)

I might learn how to make swithces of the url based on the user input from a drop down menu, trying my best to integrate Xbox and the accessories for both PS5 and Xbox into the search also.
