Inspiration

Access to reliable hosting is still expensive or overly complicated for many developers and small businesses, especially in Africa. I wanted to build a platform that removes barriers, empowers creators to launch faster, and gives everyone equal access to high-quality hosting infrastructure.

What it does

Pxxl App is a free web hosting platform that allows users to deploy websites and apps quickly and easily. It handles server provisioning, deployments, SSL, and scaling behind the scenes so users can focus on building instead of managing infrastructure.

How I built it

I built Pxxl App using modern cloud technologies, containerized environments, and automated deployment pipelines. The backend is optimized for performance and uptime, and the control panel provides a simple user experience for managing hosted projects.

Challenges I ran into

Balancing free access with server performance was a major challenge. Building an infrastructure that could scale efficiently while maintaining low cost required several architectural optimizations. Improving onboarding and simplifying DNS setups also took significant iteration.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Pxxl App is already supporting real users and real products online. I am proud of turning a vision into a fully working platform and creating technology that lowers entry barriers for developers and businesses. The brand and technical foundation are solid and ready to grow.

What I learned

I learned a lot about cloud orchestration, server scaling, and deployment automation. I also gained experience in product design, user experience, and startup-level decision-making.

What's next for Pxxl App

The next step is to scale the platform with more server locations, stronger performance, and premium features for growing businesses. I also plan to build API integrations, analytics, and a marketplace for tools that help users take their projects even further.
