Inspiration
We wanted to learn something new and challenge ourselves to make anything within the 24 hours given. We had come up with the idea of making a puzzle game and we ran with it.
What it does
Our puzzle game takes either a user imported image or a image from a library and lets the user solve the puzzle with their photo
How we built it
We built our puzzle game using html, css, and javascript
Challenges we ran into
The logic for our puzzle proved to be very challenging, to the point the team tried using reactjs, but ultimately we went back to html, css, and vanilla javascript
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Of course getting the puzzle logic working was amazing, the aesthetic puzzle pieces in the menu, import photo, and library page we really frustrating to manipulate and place.
What we learned
We the team have never coded using html, css, or javascript so it was a bit of a learning curve.
What's next for Puzzle Game
We would love to get things more polished either by
- include a larger library that pulls from a database (maybe with sql...)
- make the puzzle pieces actual jigsaw pieces instead of rectangles
- we would have liked to add a third option to use the camera and let the user take a photo right then and there
