Every tap is a gamble. You tap a button. Your get some cash. You tap again, you get some more, but now there's a real chance the whole thing collapses to zero. You can walk away right now with what you've got, or tap again and see how far you can push it. High risk, high reward. Most runs end in about 15 taps, either with you cashing out feeling smart, or busting and immediately wanting to try again tomorrow.
That's PushItForCash. It's built on Devvit Web using the Phaser template, and everyone in the subreddit plays the exact same run each day, the scoring and risk are seeded by the date, so when someone says "I banked 340 today," that's a real comparison, not a random number.
The hardest part wasn't the code, it was the feel. The button visibly punches up when you tap it, the screen shifts from calm green to a pulsing red as your risk climbs, and the tap sound rises in pitch each time so you can hear the danger building before anything actually goes wrong. Tuning the bust odds took the most passes, too forgiving and nobody ever loses, too harsh and nobody taps a second time.
Next up: turning each result into a comment on the post itself, so the leaderboard is just the thread, no separate screen, no separate UI.
