Pursuit Connect

Inspiration

We were inspired by LinkedIn and Reddit.

What it does

In our growing remote world, networking and connecting with others has became a challenge for many. Pursuit Connect aims to solve that problem for Software Engineer Students and Recruiters. Our app provides a platform where students can virtually meet and connect with other students, school faculty as well as recruiters directly. Students can earn achievements and certificates in the form of badges by completing courses, endorsements by community members and school. Members can also form groups to build projects together, RSVP for events and communicate with each other thru our in app messenger.

How we built it

We built it using Velo by Wix.

Challenges we ran into

Learning a brand new application in a short few hours was the most challenging.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are super proud of all the features that we were able to implement, and get it to work functionally in our frontend. One feature we are especially proud of is the live feed and feature projects on the homepage that gets dynamically rendered and updated.

What we learned

We learned to divide and conquer in with a tight deadline. We learned how to build a fun and gamified process for community building. We learn how to efficiently build on Wix and all the great features it has to offer.

What's next for Pursuit Connect

We look to add more features to enhanced the gamification of your application by adding more roles and badges for members earned thru events, quizes and things such as project of the week.
