Inspiration
The idea for PureWash came from a simple everyday experience at home. After family meals, we often had a sink full of greasy dishes. Cleaning them by hand took a lot of time and effort, especially when food and oil were stuck to the utensils. We noticed that even though many household appliances have become smart, dishwashing is still mostly done manually.
One day, while watching someone scrub a greasy pan, we thought, "What if the scrubbing could be automated, just like an electric toothbrush?" That simple thought inspired us to design a handheld device that combines a rotating brush with a built-in soap dispenser.
Our goal was not just to create another kitchen gadget, but to build an affordable solution that could make everyday dishwashing faster, easier, and less tiring for families, students, elderly people, and anyone who washes dishes daily.
That's how the idea of PureWash was born.
What it does
PureWash is a smart handheld dishwashing device with a rotating brush and a built-in soap dispenser. It aims to reduce manual scrubbing while saving time and soap.
How we built it
We are currently developing the concept by researching user needs, designing the product, and planning its key features and working mechanism.
Challenges we ran into
Designing a compact, lightweight, and water-resistant device while keeping it affordable is one of our biggest challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of identifying a real-life problem and developing an innovative concept that has the potential to make dishwashing easier and more efficient.
What we learned
We are learning how to solve real-world problems through product design, innovation, and user-centered thinking.
What's next for Purewash
Our next step is to build a working prototype, test it with users, improve the design, and prepare PureWash for real-world use
