Inspiration

Our inspiration was that we wanted something so we could understand khutbahs better and be able give us inspiration on new topics that are branched off the old one

What it does

Pure Sunnah is your AI-powered Islamic companion. Record or upload any lecture, and it instantly summarizes key points in English, Arabic, Bengali, and Urdu—making it easier to learn, reflect, and grow in your Deen.

How we built it

We used Lovable for a front end prototype and HTML and React to alter the front end afterwards; typescript, CSS, JavaScript, and React for the back end; ChatGPT, and Copilot to help with errors during programming; and we used GitHub as a repository and a backup.

Challenges we ran into

We had an issue with implementing the transcription due to multiple errors such as a CORS error and us being unable to find a functional API inference link which took us 5 hours in total to find a solution.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning how to use an AI to transcript a audio file. Improving our coding and developing skills. And being able to challenge ourselves and build an web app within 24 hours of programming.

What we learned

How to program quickly and effectively using many different tools at the same time. We also learned some new things such as how to integrate a AI using JavaScript.

What's next for pure sunnah

*To add functionality to the settings button *To make the ability to change response language more simple *Improve our AI to transcribe audio files up to 3 hours (Currently 30 minutes) *Improve our AI to give better responses and be able to go more in depth
