Pure Radiance Skincare

Inspiration

Our inspiration stemmed from our desire to make skincare recommendations to a broader population. Additionally, we hope to raise awareness about how our skincare products affect our environment, particularly our oceans. Our project allows us to do so by displaying statistics to the user about the effect of skincare products on our oceans, and also recommending eco-friendly products. So that they can enrich our environment, while doing their favorite routine.

What it does

Our website design simplifies the process of crafting the perfect skincare routine by providing the users with an interactive interface to input their skin concerns and lifestyle habits. Based on the users’ answers, our website crafts a personalized eco-friendly skincare routine unique to each user. It explains the functionality of each product alongside raising awareness about the effect of skincare products on our planet.

How we built it

We used Figma to create this interactive website design. We scrupulously designed the prototype for the elements in our website to allow the users to actively interact with the website as they took the quiz. Our main focus for this project was the user experience and user interface, so our top priority was to make the website visually appealing, and easy to use.

Challenges we ran into

Our experience in this field is fairly limited at the moment which caused difficulty in crafting the website design. However, we used this opportunity to expand our skills through research and advice from mentors. Additionally, although the limited time to work on this project was perturbing, it gave us an opportunity to strengthen our time-management skills.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to create this interactive website design despite the limited time and our limited experience. We are also proud to have expanded our Figma skills and create a project that helps users create a skincare routine while being eco-friendly.

What we learned

We learned more about web design and earned experience in using Figma for UX/UI. We also gained time-management and problem solving skills as we had to create a project that we are not very experienced in within a short period of time.

What's next for Pure Radiance Skincare

We plan to enhance our UX/UI skills as this is something that we enjoyed utilizing during this project. We also plan to develop our website design into a functional website that scraps data from the web to recommend products, and give more accurate, personalized skincare suggestions to the users.
