Inspiration
One of our group members has two severe allergies and we wanted to create a program that made finding safe college meals more available to her and those with allergies.
What it does
Our program takes in the users dietary restrictions. The program analyzes our inputed recipes and returns recommended meals safe for them.
How we built it
We used Java, implemented our recipes in arrays, prompted the user with questions, and stored responses in variables, used these variables to respond with viable recipe options.
Challenges we ran into
We had difficulty implementing a data set and trying to compare the user results with our preset data.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our ability to figure out how to share GitHub repositories and our use of multiple arrays.
What we learned
We learned that we were too ambitious at the beginning and starting simple is more effective.
What's next for Purdue HelloWorld22
If we had more time, we would have added more recipes and restrictions (low sodium, low cost) to help those with other restrictions.
