Inspiration
We wanted to make it less awkward to invite someone to get food.
What it does
Our app allows you to invite a friend to get food and maintain a list of close friends that you want to show your dining court location to. Sophomores and above have their food schedules more structured so we are targeting this app towards first year students who would be more open to trying out every dining court.
How we built it
Hard work.
Challenges we ran into
Time and the size of our team :( (and setting up the tech stack was painful)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are surprised by how nice the homepage looks despite being designed using just HTML and CSS (no frameworks).
What we learned
We did not have enough time but we tried to dabble with React, MongoDB, Auth0, and Groq. This hackathon really allowed us to see the application of each thing.
What's next for Purdue Eats
We spent most of our time coming up with ideas. -Add filters -Gender toggle -Add favorite people -Fine tune GROQ to suggest healthy plan -Schedule lunch/dinner -Profile pictures
