The idea for Punyan Satus Tibanku (The Hundred-Year Tree) began with my observation of the ancient trees in my village — silent witnesses that have lived far longer than any human. I felt their presence carried untold stories about time, life, and memory. Inspired by this, I merged local myth with a personal memory of my late grandmother, creating a story where a child’s longing meets the unseen spirit world. Using AI as my creative partner, I reimagined how folklore can evolve through technology — turning personal emotion and cultural roots into a visual poem about life, death, and acceptance.
