Inspiration

My grandfather’s tragic death in Nigeria due to respiratory issues and lack of immediate healthcare inspired me to build Pulsify. I wanted to ensure that no one else experiences the same loss due to delays in care.

What It Does

Pulsify provides real-time patient monitoring and vital sign insights, enabling healthcare providers to quickly identify critical changes and intervene promptly. It also includes an AI assistant to answer medication-related questions and an alert system for emergency notifications.

How We Built It

We developed Pulsify using Visual Studio Code, leveraging HTML, CSS (with Bootstrap and custom utility classes), and JavaScript for interactivity. We used Live Server for real-time previews and Git for version control.

Challenges We Ran Into

Integrating real-time data while maintaining a responsive design was a significant challenge. Implementing voice activation for the AI assistant using the Web Speech API and managing the layout across different devices required careful tweaking.

Accomplishments That We’re Proud Of

We successfully created a cohesive, user-friendly interface that allows quick access to critical patient data and includes innovative features like an AI assistant and emergency alert system.

What We Learned

We learned valuable lessons about responsive web design, API integration, and the importance of real-time healthcare monitoring in improving patient outcomes.

What’s Next for Pulsify

Future enhancements include integrating secure, real-time backend data, advanced AI capabilities for personalized health insights, and expanded features like comprehensive patient history analytics and remote diagnostics.
