Inspiration
Our journey began with a startling realization: in the age of instant information, healthcare is still an island. During the early stages of recent global health crises, individual hospitals saw patterns in their ERs weeks before national health organizations could aggregate the data. Why? Because the legal and ethical barriers to sharing raw patient data are—rightfully—insurmountable.
We were inspired to ask: "What if we didn't need to share the data to share the intelligence?" We set out to build PulseNet, a decentralized "immune system" for the global healthcare network that respects privacy while democratizing insight.
