Additionally, out-of-pocket healthcare costs in Australia exceed AUD$33 billion annually, averaging about $1,269 per person, with median fees for private medical services reaching $279 in states like New South Wales. PulseLink addresses this by offering an affordable, insurance-independent alternative, reducing financial burdens and ensuring equitable access to instant diagnostics.
COVID-Style Instant Detection Tools for Respiratory Diagnosis Inspired by rapid antigen tests for COVID-19, which provide immediate results from simple at-home procedures, PulseLink introduces an AI-powered cough-based respiratory diagnostic tool. Users can simply cough into their device's microphone (via a virtual audio interface, akin to an app-integrated sensor), receiving instant analysis, results, and medical certificates. This eliminates the need for physical visits or lab processing, mirroring the convenience of detection sticks while focusing on broader respiratory conditions.
