PulseLink

Inspiration

We were shocked to learn how Thalassemia patients struggle to get blood regularly. We felt tech should predict, prepare, and support in advance rather than waiting till the time of emergency. That’s how PulseLink AI began.

What it does

PulseLink AI forms smart donor pods for each patient and predicts donor availability using AI. It keeps donors engaged via WhatsApp reminders and checks blood bank data before reaching out saving time, stress, and lives.

How we built it

We used

1. Python + scikit-learn for donor prediction.
2. React + Tailwind for frontend.
3. Node.js for backend.
4. Twilio API for WhatsApp bot.

Challenges we ran into

1. No real donor data.
2. Pod matching logic was tricky.
3. WhatsApp bot rules limited what we could send.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

1. Working donor prediction AI.
2. Fully functional WhatsApp bot + pod system.
3. First-of-its-kind concept built in under 72 hours.

What we learned

Through this we have learned that real world problems need empathy more than tech and we have learned that AI and simplicity is one of the powerful combination.

What's next for PulseLink

1. Partner with NGOs for a real-world pilot
2. Add safe health data via wearables
3. Expand to support more chronic illness cases
4. Add multilingual support & offline SMS option
