Inspiration
We were inspired by the patient safety technology challenge and how important patient safety is.
What it does
This app allows the user to record their pulse/BPM with a simple tap. The user simply feels their pulse with one hand and uses the other to tap the screen. At the end, it then gives advice depending on their BPM.
How we built it
We built this in python using tkinter which allowed us to use a graphical user interface (GUI) for this project.
Challenges we ran into
For all of us, tkinter was very new to us and we had to learn how to use it. Also, one of our group members never used python to code before so they basically had to learn a new language.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
For some of us, this was our first hackathon and we were proud of what we created and completed what we set out to do.
What we learned
We learned how to use tkinter in python and just learned more about python coding in general.
What's next for Pulse Track
We want to fully integrate it into an app on your phone and not just an app on a laptop/computer.
Built With
