With society becoming more and more mobile, it only makes sense that medical technologies become more mobile as well. Our device allows users to visually monitor their heart rate through the LED ring, which changes color based on the frequency of the pulse. The LED light ring displays green, yellow, and red light, to indicate a slow, moderate, or fast heart rate, respectively. This could allow doctors to monitor the pulse of their patients without need the patient to be hooked up to a larger, less mobile machine. Our device is not only limited to medical purposes, as it can also simply be worn as a fashionable hack.
