Inspiration

We pivoted multiple times, initially wanting to make an inter-operable modern EHR web app, or a BERT text mining administrative automation service. Then we wanted to get into bed management software, But eventually that morphed into a solution less about revenue optimization and more a value-based care product.

What it does

Allows hospital staff to view a snapshot of how they are trending on quality care goals.

How we built it

Streaming API modeled and built in Golang, visualized with Chart.js and Vue.js

Challenges we ran into

Finding what is most relevant to hospital staff that can help them achieve patient care goals. Subject matter expertise, clinical terminology, and tailoring it to SFMC's use case.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A customizable, flexible and robust backend. With a sleek frontend.

What we learned

How large private hospitals operate day to day, and what is important to them and their patients. That having masseuses at a hackathon is the only amenity that matters.

What's next for Pulse

Gathering from a data lake. Streaming more data from multiple sources. Automate data entry and input. Bridge further root cause analysis or reporting with the dashboard.
