Inspiration
Pulscam was created to build a modern live streaming platform that puts creators first. We wanted to combine real-time streaming, private communication, secure monetization, and a privacy-first approach into a single platform that is scalable, reliable, and enterprise-ready.
What it does
Pulscam enables creators to broadcast live, interact with their audience through private messaging, receive tips, offer premium content, manage subscriptions, and build their communities. The platform focuses on security, performance, and a smooth user experience for both creators and viewers.
How we built it
The platform was built using a custom MVC architecture with PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, MariaDB, Nginx, Ubuntu Linux, LiveKit for real-time streaming, WebRTC, REST APIs, JWT authentication, and Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. We also integrated automated workflows with n8n and designed the system to be modular, scalable, and secure.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenges were building a secure real-time architecture, protecting user privacy, optimizing live communication, designing reliable monetization flows, and maintaining strong security while keeping the platform fast and responsive.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of creating an enterprise-grade foundation that combines live streaming, private messaging, subscriptions, tipping, premium content, and strong security into one cohesive platform. Every major component was designed with scalability and future growth in mind.
What we learned
Building Pulscam reinforced how important architecture, security, performance, and user experience are in real-time applications. We also learned valuable lessons about designing systems that remain maintainable while supporting complex live interactions.
What's next for Pulscam
Our next steps include expanding creator tools, improving AI-powered moderation and recommendations, adding more monetization options, strengthening analytics, optimizing global infrastructure, and preparing Pulscam for a wider public launch.
Enterprise Infrastructure
Pulscam is powered by our own proprietary development ecosystem. We built an internal on-premises code factory that standardizes development, verification, deployment, and quality assurance, helping us deliver consistent, secure, and reliable software without relying on external development platforms.
To complement the platform, we also developed Enterprise Desk, our internal operations and support environment. It centralizes monitoring, administration, diagnostics, maintenance, and customer support workflows, enabling faster issue resolution and enterprise-grade operational management.
Together, these internal systems allow Pulscam to maintain high standards of security, reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability while supporting continuous platform growth.
