Inspiration
We want to help burned-out university students replace doomscrolling with authentic, spontaneous connections that combat loneliness and comparison culture.
What it does
It helps students host and find social events or hangouts happening on campus.
How we built it
Used Figma after interviewing students.
Challenges we ran into
Finding a specific direction to go when finding the problem.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Taking the time to find a good problem and not rush to the solution.
What we learned
It is better to scope out the actual needs and problems of users before talking about the solution.
What's next for Pull Up
We plan to interview more students and empower the UBC students with more in-person interactions and build community.
