Inspiration

Content creation has been my life for over 12 years - from stealing my dad's camera as a kid to running a marketing agency. One pattern became clear: whenever I was consistent with content creation, amazing opportunities followed. I met some of my best friends through YouTube, built my first business through content, and could feel my luck surface area increasing. But I was never consistent. Creating high-quality content while building a business felt impossible. Finding clarity about positioning, maintaining authenticity at scale, and having a creative partner that really knows you - these were challenges I faced personally and saw countless founders struggle with.

What it does

publyc is your second brain for authentic content creation. Through natural conversations, it learns your unique patterns and perspectives, helping transform your daily insights into engaging posts. It starts with a personalized onboarding to understand your voice and goals. Then, simply share your thoughts naturally - through voice notes, quick texts, or casual conversations. publyc builds a rich context of your knowledge and helps turn these insights into platform-optimized posts that sound exactly like you.

How we started it

We started 2 weeks ago at the YC x Supabase hackathon. Afterwards, we continued working on the project part-time because we saw the potential, and had lots of fun as a team. Yesterday we launched the first MVP on Product Hunt to just get it out there and receive valuable user feedback as early as possible to iterate from there.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was finding the perfect balance between AI assistance and human authenticity. We wanted to remove friction without removing personality. This meant:

• Developing a system that enhances rather than replaces human thought
• Creating natural conversation flows that feel authentic
• Building a second brain that truly learns from each interaction
• Maintaining authenticity while scaling content creation

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• launched our MVP in just 2 weeks to start getting real user feedback and already have 70+ waitlist signups

What's next for publyc

This is just the beginning. Our roadmap includes:

• Enhanced analytics to understand what resonates with your audience
• Community features for learning from other creators
• Deeper platform integrations
• More sophisticated personality mapping
• brain dump functionality where you can share content / ideas that inspires you to enhance your knowledge base context
