All around San Antonio and especially on the south side, there are so many potholes, and floods from fire hydrants, and while you can make a call sometimes you just want to quickly tell the city and not be on hold! This is an app that asks what's the problem, its description, and its location it will send it to the city in and out no more time on hold! We built it using Python using tkinter and PIL. One challenge we faced was getting started but once we started the ball started rolling! The big challenge we had was actually sending an email but we figured it out! The other thing we had problems with was sending a png but as proof of concept, we are okay with it not being 100% done. We are very happy to have it send emails we worked hard and it and the first email we sent everyone was excited it was an amazing moment for our team. We learned more about Python and the more complex functions that Python does. Sometimes we forget how truly amazing these programming languages are. We would love PublicWorksPal to be able to send images because while it is not needed it is a nice feature. We would love for the city to streamline reports so it is fast and efficient not a headache to do good.
