Inspiration

Have you ever tried to get a billboard or public advertisement? Where do you start? What if you want to advertise in other parts of the world? It's not so convenient to go through an ad agency or a media owner...why isn't there a worldwide marketplace already? Did you know that DOOH advertising revenue totalled US$9.71bn globally in 2014 and is project to grow strongly to reach US$18.04bn in 2019?? We knew that and that is one of the many reasons we are building this app.

What it does

Users can find out-of-home media space or can list out-of-home media. Also, we have integrated payment processing into our app. User can effectively search, list, and procure public advertisements in our app.

How we built it

We built it as a two person team, using esri arcGIS and rails stack.

We're very proud to have completed just about the entire feature set we set out to complete over the course of this weekend, including payment processing.

What we learned

Learned how to work in a team better. Defined our ideal intake/sign up flow. Identified some much needed features to continue development on. Helped to substantiate our development schedule post hackathon.

What's next for publicAd space

We want to continue development with publicAd space and will do so on multiple fronts--business development, customer discovery/development, and to continue to expand our feature set.
