Inspiration
Public Speaking is hard, and hard to practice. Audiences to listen are difficult to find, most of the feedback is the same among new speakers, and most time is spent waiting your turn.
It can be better.
Importantly, AR needs business oriented applications to justify the current expense. Its much easier to buy if the money can come from a business account.
What it does
This places the speaker into "rooms" of listeners, complete with micro-noises and other spatial cues. At its base, imaging practicing in front of a poster of people.
Now add:
- Micronoises - we respond to low db sounds as cues for human presence and room size.
- Gaze matching - we respond to people watching us, especially as we move. Matching eye gaze is important.
- Agents - each audience member has different cues for tuning in and out. The mix of people in an audience is necessary.
- Critique - Audio analysis can improve volume and pitch control, avoiding stop words. More common . Each audience member is an agent with different criteria for paying attention.
How I built it
Haven't built it yet. If it were built, this would be a funding round not a hackathon.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am proud of getting projects shipped, especially in the role of rescuing floundering start-ups. I enjoyed the work at PARC. I am happy with recent Word2Vec contributions.
