PT-Comm

Inspiration

PT comm is a web app that bridges the communication gap between parents and teachers. The effects of COVID 19 and End SARS protests have shown the need for blended learning in Nigeria. Where parents and teachers of preschoolers have to communicate without necessarily meeting physically.

What it does

We proffer this solution for parents to know in real time what's happening with their child during school hours and at the end of each day, they confirm that this information is received. In building this project we decided to seethe problem from the audience perspective by conducting interviews. We then began a sketch to suit the information gathered from this interviews.

How I built it

Using Figma as a design tool, we built a prototype for the web application, showing the experience path that a teacher would take and also that which a parent would take.

Challenges I ran into

Our challenge is how best to manage the data that would be received on the site.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We built a prototype and were able to make a presentation on it.

What's next for PT-Comm

PTcomm will be up and running in a few months. We hope to start with 3 schools and we would make iterations regularly to put in place new solutions as the market demands it.
