Inspiration

We wanted to create an app that allows students to meet based on similar interests. We think socializing has become a difficult after COVID and this would provide a way to digitize socialization.

What it does

This app allows you to fill in details of your personality, interests and location. It then matches you with other students that share similar attributes, and then allows you to create an event to immediately meet up with them instead of being stuck in the "talking" phase.

How we built it

Using Swift on Xcode, we designed the app.

To think of an efficent algorithm to match students together.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The innovation of making something specifically for Penn State students to socialize. The idea of making events particular to the state college area.

What we learned

Collaboration on a project that allowed us to bring an idea to life.

What's next for PSU Meets

We plan to take this further by using a more robust way to make the questionnaire for students to fill out.
