Inspiration
The idea is inspirated on simple biology and applying current technology. So the inspiration came of this short story that I imagined , in three acts:
1st act
Imagine that all humanity is a single organism, each human is a cell, now see the pandemic, that body (human beings) is somewhat sick, it is weak, it cannot work, its streets are its veins (few flow) they stop the factories, the shops. It is a body without an immune system, that is, if a virus reproduces, there is nothing to stop it, it will spread without control.
2nd act
To that body (the world) you generate a global digital immune system, each cell (person) will know how to distinguish whether it is infected or healthy, because you inject a vaccine (digital pseudo-vaccine) into the streets (which are veins) is where the pseudo-vaccine is distributed (a small package that will arrive by courier to each household), this package arrives at a time when there is a generalized quarantine, after a time, the pseudovaccine is distributed to each cell (person) and then the situation changes.
3rd act
You encapsulate the enemy in homes and hospitals (from being generalized it converts to a quarantine directed only at infected cells) because your cells (people) are intelligent and have a viewfinder to see the invisible enemy, the enemy is encapsulated in a house or a hospital because they act like the white blood cells that stop the invader as in traditional biology.
You apply the process all over the earth, and in a reasonably short time, the global sick body we had, step by step fills its veins (the streets) again with healthy cells (people). And the body reactivates and walks again (the economy) and cell deaths (cease).
How is it accomplished? What came to each home in that little box? I tell you that there is no real (traditional) vaccine, and there is also no medicine for disease in that little box (it is not necessary, that would be a second stage).The box has the pseudovaccine.
The main problem we have today is just that we´re trying to reach second stage(normal vaccines), when we don’t have first stage implemented.
That first stage could be achieved mainly with computers(IT companies) and the pharmaceutical industry.
What it does
1 Stop the coronavirus from advancing
2 Save the world economy
3 Have a pandemic control system for this and future epidemics ).
Stopping the pandemic without vaccines seems impossible but there are many ways to solve one problem, that was the idea, not to lock yourself up in the same ideas, and try another approach , the technology approach.
The main purpose of the system is to have a global informatic system (immune) to control any pandemic that may arise, and a system that provides the number of infected persons centralized by country (in each geographical point), that provides the most affected regions, and that informs the population by means of a rapid selft test and a reader (pseudovaccine) at the time if it is infected or not and in the same to indicate the steps to follow (each government must be able to configure or indicate what steps to follow is also an information system)
The test should be given to everyone(at least every family) on earth and have enough self test(test of virus) available for the duration of the pandemic (that's the biggest challenge) but with the epidemic control system in place, all efforts (since real vaccines take longer) , will be aimed only to create a cheap, small, reliable and massive self test, every time a microorganism(virus , bacteria etc) arrives in some city of the world.
Note:
Don´t think pseudovaccine system is far from today(we have all the technology necessary to implement it today ) ,in any moment an excellent test (and maybe is already out there a rapid self-test cheap and mass produced) will arrive , it´s only a matter of a short time, this can happened, because all remaining components (Electronic test reader, APP , and cloud based Software Control of pandemics) of Global Digital Immune System are simple and cheap to create.
How I built it
The System we propose can only be built with worldwide cooperation, and requires a series of steps , below will describe it all.
1 Step
We have detailed the global process to implement pseudovaccine a total of 14 pages of the project in a attach pdf with the project and in the web page ( pseudovaccine project poner el url )
2 Step
We created a website call pseudovaccine.org that pretends to be an organization dedicated to lobbying global governments and global companies to implement this system.
We have 2 types of donation:
Be a volunteer
Be collaborator in that website
(later we’ll implement 3 type money donation to promote creation of the first global immune system)
The actual aim of this stage is :
That the scientific, technical and medical community all accept that on a planetary level we do not have an immune system for humanity, considering it a single body and that each individual is a cell. We pretend to make viral our proposal so everybody know we have a solution but includes every person to take action.
3 Step ( Global Cooperation )
In our proposal the system consists the creation of 4 main components of Global Digital Immune System
The selft-test (the strip where the pathogen is placed and connected by electrical signals to the reader)
The reader (device) (could be an Arduino microcontroller that receives the test and interprets whether it is positive, negative, barcode of the test, type of pathogen etc.) . Note :Point one and two are what we call pseudovaccine(selft-test and reader)
The App that synchronizes with the reader (device) and gives the results on the screen to the user, can have several users for a single test (one per family)
The pandemic control system (epidemic control) is a server that receives information from all apps in real time. In parallel to this we are going to promote an online World donation event , to get money resources for to create Global immune System and pseudovaccine.
( The next phases of the system will be achieved for IT companies and pharmaceutical companies because our proposal is a multinational cooperation)
Currently funds are only needed for the pseudovaccine because the other components of the immune system will be donated.
Pseudovaccine consisting of self-tests and readers ,that components are the only ones that cause an expense.
Challenges I ran into
Making this system known to people is the greatest challenge, they do not realize that without a global immune system we are vulnerable as humanity, they do not realize the tremendous scope of the project that could revolutionize medicine and end pandemics forever, some people think is science fiction, and that´s my biggest challenge , change their opinion about it. (Yes ,you who are reading this, are you for or against? you´re not having enough of this pandemic? , because i've so tired of it that instead of be relax in my house, i'm thinking and writing , since once month ago....and i´m tired of writing letters to journals and receive no answer.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Betting because this project is the future of medicine and epidemiology in 5 or 10 years Because in the future, fundraising campaigns can be carried out and if we wanted to eradicate, just say: AIDS from the world, we would send tests to all regions or to targeted risk groups and thus we would eventually end up with that illness.
Advances like this can revolutionize medicine, because we could not only eradicate the covid-19 pandemic now, but future pandemics because the pseudovaccine reader can exchange strips of self test , just create another test and your ready for N pandemics.
This can shorten the war with covid-19 by at least one or two years.
They say that in time of war is when the best advances have been made..
What I learned
I learned that no matter how many measures you implement in a pandemic people so often do not obey recommendations
I learned that to fight a virus you must be as fast as it, and that’s why I created pseudovaccine then people can go at the same speed because you would be checking daily if you are not a carrier.
I learned (how to implement a virtual frontier) because the distances between countries due to having planes and cars are short and without virtual limits like the one that could give us a health certificate(is created in the smatphone with pseudovaccine when the test gives a negative) we are vulnerable to new epidemics and pandemics.
And i say Virtual frontier because you can't board a plane to other country without a health certificate issue by pseudovaccine App , because you will be breaking that virtual barrier of protection.
I learned that ideas in micro (human immune system) can scale to all humanity( Global Immune System )
I learned that controlling epidemics and controlling problems in general, comes from a main idea "Order is everything", the lack of an order (a centralized system) to control this epidemic at all levels causes chaos out there and chaos generates chaos, making a domino effect.(just a tiny organism in just one first contagion have us on our knees)
I learned The computer systems as a general rule, combat chaos, in fact I like more as they say to computers in Spain: ordenador (order machine)
I learned that right now it is the only window we have to make this pandemic a global cooperation. If the pandemic passes, it will be very difficult to implement this pandemic control system and we will not be prepared for the next contingency.
What's next for pseudovaccine
In the meanwhile , pseudovaccine organization that I founded will promote the creation pseudovaccine , and find sponsors because there's no time to lose , this pandemic could end very bad , and future pandemics of a new mutation can arise.
Having already the theoretical bases and the website that we have for Immune System Promotion and pseudovaccine, the following is:
Use social networks to make the proposal global and call the companies to achieve global cooperation, once this challenge is overcome and everyone agrees to produce the pseudo-vaccine(PV), then these phases will come worldwide:
1 prototyping phase (PV),
2 manufacturing phase(PV)
3 phase of distribution(PV)
4 implementation phase(PV)
5 end of pandemic !!!!!
