Inspiration

The inspiration for this project came from the need to simplify the banking experience for young users. Many young people find the traditional onboarding process tedious and confusing. Our goal was to create a personalized, digital onboarding solution that educates users about financial products while offering a seamless and engaging experience. We wanted to combine technology, security, and personalization to make banking more accessible.

What it does

The project offers a fully digital onboarding experience tailored to young users. It adapts based on user data like age and financial literacy, offering personalized product recommendations, educational modules, and real-time assistance. The onboarding process is fast, secure, and engaging, aiming to build long-term loyalty between the bank and new customers.

How we built it

We built the application using Swift for iOS devices, leveraging SwiftUI for the front-end interface. To handle user data and personalization, we integrated machine learning algorithms and AI-based recommendations. The backend was powered by Firebase, enabling secure user authentication, data storage, and real-time updates.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was implementing robust security features, like biometric authentication and remote identity verification, without compromising the user experience. Another challenge was making the educational content dynamic and engaging for a younger audience, ensuring it matched each user’s level of financial literacy.

Accomplishments that we’re proud of

We’re proud of creating a fast, intuitive onboarding experience that balances security and personalization. We successfully integrated AI to personalize the onboarding process, making it unique for every user. The app’s design also stands out for its simplicity and modern feel, ensuring ease of use.

What we learned

Throughout the development process, we learned the importance of balancing user experience with security, especially in the financial sector. We also gained valuable experience in integrating machine learning for personalization and scaling the app for different types of users.

What’s next for Proyecto-para-el-reto-de-Banorte-en-HackMTY2024

Next, we plan to expand the app’s capabilities by adding more financial education modules, deeper integration with bank services, and a web version. We’re also exploring the use of more advanced AI algorithms for even better personalization, and we hope to pilot the app with real users to gather feedback and improve the experience further.
