Inspiration: The recent flux of phishing attacks on Morgan State students inspired us to think about potential solutions to this problem, and we came up with this project as an answer.

What it does: The program will simulate an email filtration system, where you are playing and testing specific email bodies and testing if they are suspicious or not.

How we built it: We used Python to make a script that uses a scoring algorithm to judge the potential of being scammed.

Challenges we ran into: We had one primary idea that took up most of our working time, and when we hit a wall that would cause us to potentially miss our deadline, we had to massively pivot.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Successfully programming a working filtration system on a constantly updating email was essential to completing this iteration and was something we were very proud of.

What we learned: AI implementation and consistent monitoring/filtration are great answers to staying secure online.

What's next for Email Security Simulator: We hope to expand the software to become an app in order to broaden its appeal. We also want to increase its scale and add new factors regarding phishing.
