Proximity alarm

We were inspired by the amazing and not so amazing people in our lives that make us just want to use this gadget to our hearts contents

It utilizes a state of the art proximity alert system that when it detects anyone getting to close it quickly and swiftly deters them from coming any closer

Coded mostly in arduino a design that is simplistic yet at the cutting edge of technological innovation utilizing step motors, ultrasonic sensors, and our very own replaceable cartridge airhorn

Originally we had the use of a Twitter api to sound the alarm whenever blacklisted people approached. However that proved to be difficult since we didn’t have the authorization.

We are very proud of the accomplishments we made in this timeframe. We are all first time hackathoner and this was a great learning experience.

We learned a significant amount about the Twitter api and how it can be both a blessing and a curse for a coder.

We will always remain friends. The proximity alarm might come back into development some time down the road with a vengeance.
