Inspiration
Our inspiration behind ProvCraves was to empower students to suggest and vote on exciting new menu additions for their school lunches. This innovative platform also provides valuable insights to cafeteria managers, helping them understand students' preferences and refine school menus accordingly.
What it does
ProvCraves enables users to express their opinions on menu items and ignites their creativity by enabling them to craft their own unique menu creations.
How we built it
We developed this application using MIT App Inventor, leveraging its user-friendly interface and straightforward functionality to create a seamless experience for our users.
Challenges we ran into
After encountering a struggle in brainstorming ideas that would positively impact our community, inspiration struck. Reflecting on our shared experiences of dissatisfaction with certain school lunch menu items, we devised the perfect solution: an app to voice our opinions on school menu items and even create new ones unique to our preferences.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to complete this project and create an app that can truly fix a genuine problem in our community.
What we learned
During this project, we were able to familiarize ourselves with the process of school lunch by interviewing our cafeteria manager. While building the app we also improved in using MIT app inventor.
What's next for ProvCraves
We're committed to further enhancing our app and making it available for students in our community to use!
