Inspiration

life revolves around fun and happiness, agreed? so i wanted to create a website that engages audience with fun activities like games, chat section and awareness on flags and community!

What it does

it unites!

A fun unicorn game:

where the unicorn collects pride flags to meet its soulmate! it has 3 levels and i liked how the final level turned out. its the fun module

Rainbowchat!:

where you can connect with other people of the same community, create ideas, share opinions, and basically have fun

random flag generator:

it generates different types of flags of the community and what they are named for its good to be aware of community flags because in my personal experience when u notice a community flag it means lot to them so i felt the need to showcase as many prominent flags as possible in my website

How we built it

built it with loads of loads of effort lol

starting page:

i used html and css for the starting page which made it look simple and beautiful

rainbow chat!:

i used firebase and the others are js, html.css

random flag generator:

i used react and this api :https://pride.dev/api/flags

Challenges we ran into

okay though CSS is basic language, i did face lot of challenges adjusting the layout it was fun however what i considered a challenge was creating a scratch game (learnt scratch for hours and then the build took another 5 hours lol) and firebase as this was my firstime ever but what i REALLY challenging was actually the flag generator...i had to create a json file and index ever object in it, dealing with API is new to me

Accomplishments that we're proud of

i am happy to create a functional website that revolves around having FUN, being aware and learning about the community by direct interaction

What we learned

i am very proud to develop new solutions when i coded. most of this was my first time dealing with the software and. i learned to manipulate API data, use firebase for chats, create more soothing animation using CSS, creating a game! and most importantly take time to learn more about the community
