Inspiration
We notice that most of the housing properties websites or information integrated websites only offer a certain service one at a time. For example, a housing rental website only provides its own properties without other life events information, such as dining in the city, entertainment places, or retail stores’ locations, even rental vehicles. All those life events are necessary and important to residents of the city. If people want to know more about city life, they need to search again and again from different websites. Specially, new college students don’t have much time to do researching because they need to focus on their studies first. Cost is another factor to think about when living in the new city. Our service is free for students, and we hope their chosen city can meet their expectations. Therefore, we focus on building a web application to enable life event programs accessibility and all-in-one inclusion. It is a one-stop service at your disposal.
What it does
LoL provides informative resources to college students moving into a new environment and other searchable options for them to reside, eat, and have fun within a chose city. The homepage has a navigation bar. It contains a home button to reload the main page, a contact us button leading to the contact us page and a dashboard page containing the favorite places of the logged in users. Along with it is a sign in & a sign-up button that will be exchanged to associated username when logged in to individual account. All the services are accessible from the search button on the main page. The filter contains available search options relatively to each featured services for users to navigate their goals. Hopefully, our little idea here can help people finding their new homes and having splendid lifestyle. In a way, our users can release their stresses and truly laugh out loud (LoL).
How to use it
A user will have an input text to choose a favorite city and six optional services on the main screen of our website, such as housing – dining – stores – parking lots – rental facilities – entertainment. In order to pick one of the free services, users can choose to login as a member or just simple use the search button on the home page. A navigation menu will be on top of the screen containing buttons such as home, contact us, sign in and sign up for easy accessibility. Choosing the needed service is very simple. You simply need to choose the preferred location and the service, the option selected should get highlighted, then clicking search button to proceed.

What we learned
It is a Interesting project and fun thing to do. Main purpose here is to learn, grow, and explore more advanced topics and skills in the way of helping people and making innovation to the society.
What's next for LoL
We will expand the scale, refine the application structure, increase other services, collect more datasets and integrate all sources and have fun. Consider adding machine learning algorithms to improve the functions.
