Prototype Of Dev-Dash Website

we have tried to develop just an landing and home page which will redirect users directly to the CODEMENT website as well as upcoming events of CODEMENT Community.

Inspiration

We saw the official CODEMENT Website and we were so impressed by the front-end development and Designing of the website and then we decided to try to make a prototype of it using the knowledge we have about coding but since we are first year students so we didn't know much about web development so we made this project while learning about web development.

What it does

It's a prototype of the original dev-dash page of codement website. as for the functionality of the website, it redirects you to the official page for registration.

How we built it

We worked on the project as team as there was a time limit and we weren't that experienced in web development so we decided to split the work into three parts. me(Saurav Kale) created the landing page of the website and responsiveness of the website, Veeraj Matnale worked on the main content and documentation of the project and Omkar Kale worked on the footer section.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many challenges while building this project but being a engineering student we were pretty good at solving problems with team work, one of the challenges we encountered was the back-end of the webpage as we are first year students and we don't know anything about back-end development we were worried about how to make the website functional then we thought of linking our page to Codement's official website and registration button to Dev-Post's official page.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created our first project in the field of web development, with as much as knowledge we could gather we created the front-end of the website which inspired us to dive into the field of web development even if it's not perfect, we are still proud of what we created from scratch and zero experience in the field.

What we learned

While working on the project we learned many things, some technical and some non-technical, for technical stuff we introduced ourselves to world of web development we learned basics of many technologies like frameworks of CSS(Tailwind, bootstrap), responsive websites, Gsap animations, and much more interesting stuff which motivates us to dive much deeper into the world of web development. Keeping the technical things aside we still learned many things like how to work in team, since we were good friends with each other before working on this project as a team we knew little about each other but as we worked on a project we got to know many things about each other and now we can proudly say that we'll form a better team. We also grew individually by working in team we learned about communicating effectively with your team, presenting your ideas and leading a small team for a project in a time limit.

What's next for Prototype Of Dev-Dash Website

We will try to improve the website in future as we will be learning many new things and new technologies, as in future we will constantly try upskill in the web development and will also work on the prototype of Dev-Dash Website and improve it as much we can.
