Inspiration

We were inspired by one of the sessions at Garuda Hack called speed dating, where participants could form teams with strangers to achieve a common goal. Additionally, various challenges encountered when creating projects in the digital field also motivated the creation of this platform. For example, developing an application often involves difficulties due to a lack of expertise in design. Similar problems are faced by individuals working in animation and game development, where it is impossible to rely on a single skill alone. In many creative and technical fields, collaboration is essential because projects often require a diverse set of skills. Therefore, the Proto platform was created to enable collaboration with everyone without exception, regardless of educational status or other factors.

Our Goals

Proto aims to enhance collaboration among digital creatives, support innovative projects, and promote professional development. We provide access to diverse skills, foster economic opportunities through freelance work, and help users build portfolios and expand their professional networks. Our true goal is to create a platform that nurtures creativity and unity among digital talents, enabling them to collaborate on shared projects without discrimination based on education, age, or other factors, focusing solely on real skills and tangible outcomes.

What it does

Discover Other Projects Explore a variety of projects on Proto’s homepage. Discover projects created by other users and connect with individuals looking for collaborators in your area of expertise.

Create Projects with Specific Requirements: Initiate and collaborate on projects with clear requirements. Specify whether the project is paid or unpaid to set the right expectations from the start.

Showcase Completed Projects: Completed projects will be displayed on the homepage feed, allowing everyone to see and appreciate your achievements and contributions.

Group Chat for Project Communication: Utilize group chat to communicate effectively with team members. Discuss ideas, share updates, and collaborate in real-time to ensure everyone is on the same page.

How we built it

We built Proto using a combination of Firebase for real-time API and Laravel. The client side was created using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.

Lack of experience when building chat feature with combination of firebase and laravel, confused in the flow
Intensif code in 36 pressure with a lot time focus and a lot of midnight working
