We as a society should aim for an environment where each one of us could easily be protected. One of the first steps towards achieving that is for us to be able to get the information of our significant other’s danger possibilities as soon as possible. We notice that as a society that primarily uses a mobile phone, we can share our live location using it to create a notifying system for our trusted “guardians”. Backed by our event pipeline handling, we will process each data that we receive and trigger a liveness-check process which helps for a faster and more capable early-warning capabilities in under 1 minute. We built this alerting system with a heatmap that marked spots using government public data by how “unsafe” they are. Focusing on factors such as population, crime count, and street-lighting availability per kacamatan in Jakarta we make an initial assumption on which spots to trigger the alert. With the system we created, Indonesia can have a sample of the foundation needed for a better alerting integration with more data such as disasters, geographic risk zones, and live incidents/events.
