Protect the Base!

In this fun, simple shooting game, cycle through 4 weapons--the assault rifle, shotgun, sniper, and grenade launcher--as you struggle to fight back enemy hordes. Weapons reload slowly and only when unequipped, and each is best in a different scenario, so switching between them is a must! After you've been defeated, head to the shop to buy permanent power upgrades and make it even farther! How long can you last protecting the base?

Inspiration

College students don't get enough leisure time, so we wanted to make a fun, addictive, simple game for people to enjoy.

How we built it

The game is built in Python using the pygame library

What we learned

It's always best to build up extensible systems early on; this will make it easy to add new features and reduce technical debt.

What's next for Protect the Base!
