The Story Behind ProTech-Tag
ProTech-Tag was created from personal experience. After my father's fishing equipment and my own motorcycle were stolen, I experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to recover valuable property or prove ownership. Those events inspired a simple question: What if every valuable item had a secure, permanent digital identity?
That question became the foundation of ProTech-Tag.
ProTech-Tag is designed to help protect people, reduce theft, and make buying and selling second-hand goods safer. By combining a permanently laser-etched QR code with an embedded NFC chip, every protected item can carry a secure, verifiable digital identity throughout its lifetime. Owners can register their property, verify authenticity, securely transfer ownership, and report stolen items, while buyers can confirm that an item is genuine and legitimately owned before completing a purchase.
Our mission is not just to recover stolen property—it is to make theft less profitable by making ownership easy to verify and much harder to fake. We believe that giving every product a trusted digital identity can help protect individuals, families, businesses, and manufacturers while creating greater confidence in the second-hand marketplace.
