Inspiration

This project was inspired by our love of basketball. Over co-op we bonded on the basketball courts and we formulated the idea of this project. We wanted to know the angle and trajectory of a basketball successfully going into the hoop around the basketball court.

What it does

This program takes into account the 3-D position and height of the basketball player, and uses this data to determine the trajectory needed for a successful shot into the basketball hoop.

How we built it

We built this using Matlab.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges we ran into were calculating the angles of each position on the court. Once these were computed, the rest of the project involved drawing the basketball court and the player.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the detailed UI and mathematics that went into this project.
