Problem statement: What audience need does this solve?

  • The audience need is anyone short on time and/or in need of some good financial tips and ways to save money

Solution overview: How does the app address this need?

  • The app gives financial tips through articles and suggests different ways to save money. It also includes personalized coaching and basic/advanced investing help.

Monetization strategy: How subscriptions or purchases are structured

  • Subscriptions are structured using Revenue Cat and a button located in the user's profile to purchase

Roadmap: What you would build next if selected or continued post-hackathon

  • I would build cards for each area under the tabs and integrate a video course.

What it does

  • A user signs in or signs up, after they log in and they see tabs with different options. The options are Save Money, Invest, and Profile. In Save Money, the user can see different articles to help the user learn how to save and how much money it could save every month. Invest offers a basic investing course and an advanced investing course that is behind a paywall.

How I built it

  • I built it using Expo, React Native, and Revenue Cat API for the paywalls. I also used Anything AI to give me an idea how I would like the app to be design wise and what the code structure could be. I also used Manus AI to generate names since naming projects is quite a challenge.

Challenges I ran into

  • Set up Expo and debugging
  • Learning how to integrate Revenue Cat to create paywalls

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

  • Learning Expo and React Native
  • Building a mobile app to solve a real-world problem

What I learned

  • Learned React Native and Expo
  • How to take a MVP and turn it into an application that can solve a real-world problem

What's next for Prosper

  • Finishing
